Mike Auger
I’m a Certified Master Inspector (CMI), and Rhode Island home inspector. Steve and I are also fully licensed home inspectors.
The CMI designation is the highest standard in the home inspection industry, there are only about 400 world wide. I am one of only 5 CMI’s in Rhode Island (only 2 of us are full time home inspectors). I’m also a certified professional inspector through interNACHI as being qualified to perform home inspections in RI. InterNACHI has a rigorous certification requirement, one of the most challenging in the industry. So much so that only about 10% of applicants are accepted and able to maintain certifications. I’m required to, not only pass a certification exam, but am required to continue my education constantly and be tested in those areas as well.
My pre-RI home inspection career prepared me well for my current profession. I grew up in Rhode Island. I’m a military vet, I earned a degree in electronics engineering from Community College of the Air Force. I have experience as a Rhode Island contractor, and I’ve preformed thousands of home inspections.
I have completed training on home inspecting in all following areas:
- Attic insulation, ventilation
- Decks
- Moisture intrusion
- Exterior inspection
- Interior inspection
- Electrical
- Foundation
- HVAC
- Mobile Homes
- Plumbing
- Pools & Spa
- Roofs
- Structural
- Interiors
- Commercial property
- Foundation walls and piers
- Wood Destroying Organisms
- Radon measurement service provider
- Mold Inspection and Testing
- And more
- I’m also required to perform continuing education each year.
