Ahh spring is finally here in full force!

That means something to your trees and shrubs, they are now in full bloom and have leaves. Leaves and growth of trees mean that some could now be touching your house.

When vegetation (like tree branches, shrubs, or vines and ivy) touch your home, they cause damage. Branches swaying in the wind can cause significant damage to your roof and siding. This damage can turn into, not only cosmetic problems but eventual water intrusion and mold/mildew growth.

Not only that, but this proximity to your home makes a great bridge for many insects and pests to get in or on your home.

Now is a great time to get out there and have a look, if trees and bushes are in contact with your home, trim them back. Even if they hang over your house, cutting them back is a good idea.

If the branches are small, perhaps you may be able to handle it. If we are talking big branches, or high branches, better leave it to the pros.
