A range of options can be explored depending on the space requirements and current project The original project will require design, service and installation to the facilities (no matter what kind of plant or trees were going to be provided).

The landscaping on site is usually not included in the initial design stage but, instead, may be a topic for a separate design stage as it is common that most landscaping requirements are not needed until later in the design stage when the landscaping is identified and the project is built. When all the conditions are in place, it may be agreed that the landscaping will be constructed once the client has given the final approval of the design stage and the project cost is set. There is a wide range of landscaping services offered in the United States which vary in cost depending on the size of the project, the landscaping needs, the services performed and the landscaping techniques involved. As with a lot of landscaping concepts, the most popular type of landscaping is by architects. It is generally one of the most preferred method of landscaping and often covered in classes of landscaping design. However, there are many contractors, firms and associations which provide the same landscaping services.

In general, the most popular types of landscaping services include construction landscape design, irrigation landscape design and landscape design consulting. According to the survey of landscape architects by Sibley’s, landscaping has been by far the fastest growing area within landscape architecture and it is expected that landscaping will become a $10 billion dollar industry within the next 20 years. Based on the recent numbers, landscaping is becoming the second fastest growing service within landscape architecture. The landscaping services offered by landscape architects are divided into 2 primary areas – the garden design (design, planning and construction) and the landscaping services. The garden design (design, planning and construction) usually requires a large number of different landscape architects who all work collaboratively as a team to come up with a feasible design.

Once the garden design is complete, it is usually a couple of months before the landscape architect begins to install it to assess the landscape and the clients are notified of the results.

A garden design is also described as the plants and flowers which are to be incorporated into the landscape. Gardens can be created to incorporate nature and plants, often providing support structures or rain gardens, or provide the opportunity to create a completely new garden environment. If you want to revamp your garden like never before, you can either make some garden ornaments or look for other pleasant ideas.

It is very common that garden designers will also incorporate a variety of decorative features like the ones at a Gardening shop such as planting strips, garden statues, stone and other similar features which make it look more natural.

People who have lost count often say that ‘in eight days you can have the situation under control’ and this has become a saying in the landscape design industry. It’s true that in eight days you can put things in a different order, design things better, save money or construct the project more economically. It may sound like a huge exaggeration however, it can be important when discussing deadlines with clients as they may require more time than usual. Often, the client will want to know what the dates are so that there can be a window of opportunity. Another benefit of dates is to allow you to give the client or their design team feedback and potentially even cut over time. These are just two examples of how dates and timings can be used to give you greater accountability for your clients’ projects. The overall schedule is created at the outset of a project through a lot of planning, or sometimes ‘blind’ in which the client has no idea how the design will look until the date. It’s now time to identify and priorities the various stages.

If you work for a client who knows it is your job to meet deadlines or fit in extra features or services to the schedule you’ll want to make sure you find a date to start developing your proposal. When the client is presented with a proposal, they will often expect the project to be handed in on a specific date. This is usually when the project reaches a certain point, the client is involved in the design, and you have no more work to do. When this happens, we suggest that you include the details of what the date is, this gives the client, the designer and your design team a brief on how to work within the time constraints you’ve set. This gives everyone a chance to ‘plan’ ahead, what to do, what not to do, when to come in, when to go. There is no point giving details of what is or isn’t achievable on a specific date, giving a client a time limit, but adding information on the actual dates will allow the client to make informed decisions based on actual needs. The reason we always want to include dates at the outset of a project is that you can then start drafting the proposal based on the date. If a date is wrong then it’s easy to re-write that date. Timelines are important for all stages of project. When to start or stop works, when to solicit advice, when to schedule and when to propose. Working in this way gives the client the time and flexibility they need to decide when to accept the project, regardless of where things stand at any particular point in time. When to start works is something that is common knowledge in the industry, and its one area where scheduling is pivotal. It’s important that the client can see what stages are under way, and that your proposal is realistic for what you are planning to do. In our experience, many architectural designers have a general idea of what they want their project to achieve and the client have a similar idea.
